January 6, 2025 Registration for the Spring 2025 season opens; season starts in late- March/early-April.
Eaglet Academy U4 Co-ed (born between September 1, 2020-8/31/2021). Players must be 3 years old prior to the start of the season.
Course Description: The Grassroots/Eaglet Academy is our introductory course for young players beginning their soccer journey. An experienced instructor will lead the group and introduce the basic ABC's- agility, balance, and coordination skills in seven, fun-focused, half hour sessions. Players will be introduced to their first relationship with the ball and begin discovering the magical game of soccer. The Eaglet Academy meets on Saturday mornings starting September 7.

Not included: Fairfax County Field User Fees: in-county ($8.00/player); out-of-county ($30.00/player), VYSA Fee $10, soccer ball- $25 (players take home at closing ceremonies on the last day), extra FC Dulles practice shirts ($15/ea), and player's equipment including soccer cleats (highly recommended), shin guards (not needed for Eaglets), and water bottle.
Micro Academy U5-U6 Boys & Girls (Born between Jan. 1, 2019-August 31, 2020)
Course Description: The Grassroots/Micro-Academy is for boys and girls of all skill levels. The focus for players in this age group is on playing small-sided games in a fun, social environment learning basic movement skills, directional play, elementary attacking and defensive principles of play, basic dribbling and passing skills and first touch/ball control skills. The program utilizes the Play/Practice/Play format in alignment with the US Youth Soccer's Grassroots and FC Dulles curriculum. Coaches run small-sided games, 3 v 3 or 4 v 4, in forty-five minute sessions in our Free Play sessions on Fridays, and our REC Jamboree sessions on Saturdays.

REC Academy U7-U10 Boys & Girls (born 2015-2018):
Course Description: The Grassroots REC Academy is for boys and girls of all skill levels. Players are introduced to the FC Dulles REC Curriculum with an emphasis dribbling, passing and receiving, and shooting/finishing skills. Basic tactical phases of attacking and defending are introduced through small-sided games in our Play-Practice-Play format. Players will meet 3x/week over seven weeks for a training session on Monday nights, a free play session on Friday nights, and an in-house competition (REC Jamboree) on Saturdays in our REC Jamboree. It is during these sessions that we begin to ID players to play on future FC Dulles competitive travel teams.

NCSL-REC (U11-U19 born in 2006-2014)
Description: Players in our NCSL-REC age groups (U11-U19) play games with referees against other clubs in the area. Players are grouped into teams with a coach whose primary responsibility is to create a fun, social environment to learn the game of soccer. Players in the NCSL-REC age groups are developed in accordance with the FC Dulles Grassroots/REC Curriculum in conjunction with US Youth Soccer's Play/Practice/Play format. NCSL-REC teams will have practices 2x/week with an emphasis in the younger age groups on technical skill development (dribbling, passing & receiving, and shooting, individual defending and attacking, and in the older groups more of an emphasis on team tactical phases i.e. attacking, defending, transitional play). NCSL-REC teams play 8 games on Saturdays against clubs local to Northern Virginia.

*Weather permitting and the fields are open and playable. Schedule subject to change depending on # of registrants and coach and field availability. We will make every effort to reschedule canceled sessions for the Eaglet, Micro Academy, and REC Academy programs, however this is not guaranteed. Canceled There are no make-up sessions for canceled NCSL-REC practices. NCSL-REC games may be re-scheduled depending on coach and field availability.
**Uniform kits to be distributed at the first practice sessions. Please note: Players who purchased the royal blue FC Dulles Grassroots/REC uniform kit in a prior season are not required to purchase a new uniform kit unless needed. For returning NCSL-REC players, if using a uniform from a previous season please input that number on the player form during registration. Otherwise, jersey #s will be assigned.

Uniforms are required for the Grassroots Micro Academy, the REC Academy, and NCSL-REC programs. Eaglet Academy participants do not purchase uniforms- they receive a program t-shirt included with the registration fee. Please note: if you purchased the uniform below in a prior season, you do not need to purchase again unless needed. For NCSL-REC players not purchasing a new uniform for the Fall 24 season, please input your current jersey # in the player form during registration. All new NCSL-REC uniform purchases will be assigned a jersey #.

Our curriculum is based on national guidelines and designed to instill a lifetime of love & passion for the beautiful game of soccer.
Coaches:
FC Dulles believes volunteer USSF licensed coaches are an integral part of our rec. soccer program. FC Dulles provides educational opportunities through VYSA's Coaching Education Department and guidance for volunteer coaches to actively participate in our rec. program. Recreation Coaches receive a coaching polo for games and a practice t-shirt for training sessions. Upon successful completion of the season tuition fees for parents of players enrolled in our REC program will be refunded.
