The FC Dulles Travel Soccer Academy is an intensive, highly demanding, club-centric player development-focused program. Teams are formed each year through a tryout process that takes place from mid-April to Mid-May.
Highly skilled players from the Chantilly, Centreville, Herndon, Reston, Fairfax, Clifton, and Vienna areas come to FC Dulles eager to learn, improve, compete at the highest levels, and to develop a love and passion for the game of soccer.
Coaches select players through an evaluation process based on skill level, game, and spatial awareness, soccer growth mindset, love of the game, mental toughness, and coachability. Players will be placed on an appropriate level team with player development as the first priority.
Most coaches are salaried and all coaches are licensed, have extensive knowledge, passion, and experience in the game, have criminal background checks, are SafeSport compliant, have concussion awareness training and are expected to follow the club’s curriculum, playing philosophy, and style of play. Academy coaches report directly to the Club Technical Director.
Players are expected to be fully committed to participating with FC Dulles and their team activities for the full seasonal year from June to June of the following year. Tuition covers one seasonal year and is paid in full or with installments. Discounts apply for tuition paid in full and for siblings participating in the travel academy program.
Need-based scholarships are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Parents of scholarship recipients are expected to volunteer in some capacity at the club's discretion to support the club's programs.
