ADAP- Advance Development Academy Program Overview


"The Crossover to Travel Soccer"

  • What We Teach: The ADAP focuses on building individual technical skills including passing & receiving, 1v1 moves, shooting & finishing, speed, agility, & coordination through age-appropriate small-sided games in a fun, learning environment. The objective of the ADAP is to prepare players for the next level: FC Dulles’s Academy Travel Program

  • Why ADAP? ADAP is for the advanced player seeking a higher level of training and competition more than recreation soccer can provide. An ADAP player loves the game of soccer and is passionate and committed to learning and improving to become a better player.

  • ADAP Training & Game Schedule- Fall (September-early Nov.); Spring (late March/early April-early June): Spring training 2x/week (1hr./session)- Monday 6-7:00 PM at Poplar Tree 2; Friday 6-7:00 PM at Franklin MS3. 1 game/weekend (Saturday afternoon) in-house from 4-5:00 PM at Poplar Tree 2 or, when possible, competition with neighboring clubs starting at 5:15 PM when playing home at Poplar Tree 2 or similar time at immediate neighboring club fields when playing away. The club may also choose to play in an end-of-the-season festival (extra cost of approx. $40/player/festival) typically in mid-Nov. and mid-June. Winter: Train 1x/wk- 7 sessions indoors (1hr. each) starting Dec. 6 from 5-6:00 PM at Cassel's Sports Complex in Herndon.

Players are encouraged to participate in FC Dulles' Winter Indoor Futsal League competition (expected fee: $125- not included in tuition)

  • Our Coaches: ADAP coaches are members of FC Dulles’s technical staff led by Club Technical Director, J. Marcelo Gangotena. ADAP coaches are experienced in implementing FC Dulles’ curriculum and possess current USSF coaching licenses and have passed criminal background checks. Coaches are selected for the ADAP based on their ability to teach, the ability to nurture advanced players, and their ability to instill a love and passion for the game of soccer.

  • Evaluations: ADAP coaches conduct evaluations to identify ADAP players in June for the following seasonal year starting in the Fall. Supplemental evaluations are conducted for the Spring season. Please see the schedule for upcoming evaluations.
  • Seasonal Year Tuition Fee (Fall/Winter/Spring):
    • Neighboring club full year: $1150

    • FC Dulles full year: $495

    • FC Dulles Spring 2020 season only: $295

    • Not included in tuition fee: Required ADAP uniform for new players ($55), Fairfax County Field/gym user fees ($32.00 in-county; $120.00 out-of-county), Winter indoor Futsal Competition (approx. $125)

Effective 1/2/2020: Credit card orders will be charged an additional service fee. The service fee applies to all online payments and covers the cost of the Demosphere registration system, including data privacy, security and PCI compliance. Customers paying by cash or check will not incur a service fee and will not be an active registration until payment is received.

FC Dulles is committed to serving the needs of our community and dedicated to providing all players an opportunity to play who have a desire to learn and improve as soccer players, and to develop a passion for the game of soccer.  Need-based scholarships are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Parents of scholarship recipients are expected to volunteer in some capacity at the club's discretion to support the club's programs.
